Clear or black. Paper or plastic. Recyclable or Biodegradable. To the Nextlife Packaging Group it’s all “green.” While we don’t actually make any disposable packaging, the Nextlife Packaging Group (NPG) supports and represents a network of Nextlife-certified and licensed sustainable packaging suppliers.
The biggest, near-term trend in packaging is clearly the move away from non-sustainable, and even harmful, packaging to packaging that incorporates a significant amount of high-quality post-consumer recycled (PCR) raw materials. The NPG helps brand owners source environmentally smart packaging products made from 10% to 100% PCR materials and converted using energy-efficient systems. Sustainable raw materials employed include PET, HIPS, PP, and PE, transformed into a myriad of packaging products, including clamshells, blister and club packs, containers of all types, lids, plastic boxes and rollstock, for both food contact and non-food contact applications.
